 Debris Removal: Regularly remove leaf debris and other build-ups from the surface of the sheets. Accumulated debris can decompose into leaf mold, which may soften the Onduline sheets and reduce their lifespan.

Tree and Shrub Management: Trim any tree or shrub branches that are in contact with the sheets. Movement from wind can cause these branches to damage the Onduline sheets over time.

Repainting: To maintain or rejuvenate the appearance of your Onduline roof, consider repainting the sheets with water-based roofing paint.

Safety Precautions During Maintenance

• Ensure that all workers can perform maintenance tasks safely without damaging the corrugated bituminous sheets or tiles.
• Verify that the roof frame can support the additional weight of the workers.
• Use a ladder or similar equipment to distribute weight evenly and avoid walking directly on the corrugations or between two supporting battens or purlins.
• For roofs with a steep pitch, it is essential to use a safety harness to ensure worker safety.
• In some cases, an aerial lift may be necessary to access the roof safely.
