Easy to handle and transport
ONDULINE® sheets are very light with a weight of only 3 kg/m2. In comparison to heavier roofing materials, it means comfort at every level, from transport to installation.
First, the sheets are easy to transport in a simple car, no need to have a particular means of transport such as a van or a small truck. Our compact versions (ONDULINE EASYFIX® COMPACT, ONDULINE EASYLINE®) simply fit in a car truck and our standard versions can fit in the back seat of your car.
Second, ONDULINE® sheets can be transported up on the roof by only one person.
And even more, several sheets can be carried out at the same time by only one person for time saving.
You buy it, and transport it, all by your own!
An intuitive installation
- ONDULINE® sheets are very easy to install thanks to a simple and self-explanatory covering system. Some of ONDULINE® sheets feature the smart lock system. The embossed lines act as an installation guide making the project quicker and easier. Embossed lines show you the height of the overlap between the sheets and help you position the sheet straight. Thanks to the embossed lines you do not need to take measurements.
- Overlaps can be exceeded if necessary to avoid cutouts. You can play on the width of the overlaps to avoid cutting.
- Fixation of ONDULINE® sheets is also very simple. Sheets are fixed with either ONDULINE® MONOBLOC NAIL or ONDULINE® UNIVERSAL SCREW. You do not need to pre-drill the holes. The sheets are placed on the roof overlapping each other, nails or screws are fixed in the required order, and that’s it. Fixing time per fastener was measured to be only 10 seconds for a beginner DIYer.This measure was taken internally using ONDULINE® UNIVERSAL SCREW and a drill.
- ONDULINE® sheets are easy to cut and do not require expensive professional tools. You can use a saw-pad or just a cutter. Based on our experience and internal test, for a beginner DIYer, cutting a sheet in the vertical only takes 20 seconds and up to one minute in the horizontal with a cutter!

5 golden rules for a perfect installation (transversal to all products)
- Rule 1: Install on a wooden structure, full deck or discontinuous, as well as on metal purlins, respecting the spacing recommended in the installation guide for the ONDULINE® sheet you have chosen.
- Rule 2: Respect the number of fasteners recommended (+-10/m2 depending on the product) and use ONDULINE® brand fasteners which are designed to guarantee lasting waterproofing - with 16 mm washer head minimum - and the best aesthetics.
- Rule 3: At eaves, overlaps and at the ridge, there must be fasteners on top of every corrugation.
- Rule 4: Respect a maximum overhang of 7 cm over the gutter.
- Rule 5: Start the 2nd row with a half sheet in order to avoid extra thickness in certain places which could affect the aesthetics.
