A New Shelter for Those Who Care: Onduline Philippines Supports PAWS at Buddy’s Place

Some partnerships go beyond collaboration, they remind us of our purpose and why we do what we do. At Onduline, our mission has always been to provide durable, lightweight, and weather-resistant roofing solution. Supporting the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) through the creation of a new multi-purpose shed at Buddy’s Place was one of those meaningful opportunities, one that reflects how the right roofing solution in the Philippines can support both people and communities.

On December 8, 2025, PAWS officially opened Buddy’s Place in Katipunan, Quezon City, While the facility is dedicated to rescued animals, the structure supported by Onduline was built especially for the people who care for them. The new building serves as a simple but essential space where caregivers and volunteers can rest, take shelter from the weather, and gather in between their daily work of tending to the animals.  

Through the donation of Onduvilla bitumen roof tiles covering approximately 200 square meters, Onduline helped ensure that this shared space remains safe and comfortable. Known for its lightweight yet durable bitumen roofing construction, Onduvilla was chosen to provide reliable protection against heavy rain, intense heat, and changing weather conditions—common challenges for buildings in the Philippines. Unlike traditional roofing materials, Onduline roofing sheets and tiles are designed to be both strong and easy to install, while also helping improve comfort under the roof.  

By using long-lasting, low-maintenance, and weather-resistant roofing materials, the project helps create a space where caregivers can recharge, hold briefings, and continue their work with renewed energy and focus. With dependable shelter overhead, the people behind the scenes at PAWS can concentrate on what truly matters: saving lives, supporting recovery, and giving rescued animals a second chance.
