Tropical Passive Roof Design For Low-Energy House

Based on a report from the International Energy Agency (IEA), Asia is expected to contribute to more than half of the growth in world energy consumption by 2040. This gave the idea for the OGRA to use the theme to help play a role in achieving energy efficiency in housing all over Asia, especially in areas with tropical climates.

Energy efficiency in homes and establishments is becoming an urgent necessity in Asia. A well-designed roof that can accommodate hot and humid climates can help homes stay cool and help citizens in saving energy. The 10th-year anniversary of OGRA will also serve as a call to action to advocate for renewable and sustainable energy to contribute to a greener future.
