Architect Ramon R. Dueña, Jr. narrates a tale of challenges and triumphs, particularly during Typhoon Ursula's onslaught on Christmas Day. He shares:

"The new Welcome Area and Training Center of Bakhawan Nature Study & Eco Park in New Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan is a testament to the resilience, strength, and beauty of Onduline Roofing. During construction, Typhoon Ursula wreaked havoc in Aklan on Christmas Day leaving destruction in its wake. We were particularly worried then that the roof, which was newly installed and with no walls yet, would be damaged as Ursula brought strong winds and heavy rains in its path. Much to our surprise, the day after, our site engineer reported that the roof remained unscathed by the typhoon considering that the mangrove trees around it were rendered leafless.

Onduline passed the test with flying colors and we were glad we chose it for this project. Our primary reason for choosing Onduline was that it can withstand corrosion from the salty environment, but we were glad that it also proved to be strong and resilient as well."
